GIS 4035 Lab5 Unsupervised & Supervised Classification

Boy oh Boy! Well, this Lab ended up taking a very negative turn for me. Before I explain how I failed in this module I will explain the lab. For module 5 we learned how to use supervised and unsupervised classification. This allows the user to better classify features in an image to create a more detail. One way this is helpful is it allows you to merge objects that have similar content into one single feature. The image you see above is not even close to what was required for this Lab. This is actually the perfect example of what a bad layout for this project looks like. What happened is I created an image prior to this one that was a lot more detailed and significantly closer to what was asked for. The problem I ran into was that the water features were not coming in the way I wanted them to. So, in order to make the map more aesthetically pleasing I decided to go back and try and make some edits. I messed up when I overwrote the previous image, I ended up with an image along with several other things that ended up being less than satisfactory. I ended up not having enough time to redo the task, so I went through with what I had in order to not turn my project in late. Unfortunately, my obsession with trying to make this image perfect ended up backfiring in a major way. While I am very disappointed in the way this project ended, I did learn a great deal from this lab.
